I have somehow missed reading this series as a child, but I am glad that I found this. I have always been a lover of the movies and I thought it might be a good time to finally read the books the movies are based on.
This book was a feel good read. It found that it was an absolute pleasure to read this book. It was very easy to understand what’s going on no matter where you are in the story. I only know this story as told by the movies, so I found that it was nice to understand what’s going on through the story not because I watched the movies, but because how well C.S. Lewis tell you the story. He paints you a beautiful picture of what this world looks like. Anytime I read I try and imagine what the place might look like. With this book in particular I feel like I had to do very little imagination because of how well C.S. Lewis describes this world to the audience. I was easily drawn into the book because of how well it is written. I am kind of mad at myself that I never read these books sooner, I know I would have enjoyed them probably even more than I am now.
