Music . . . the heart’s greatest librarian.

The average song is three and a half minutes long; those three and a half minutes could lead to a slow blink, a glimpse of the past, or catapult the soul into heart-shattering nostalgia.

At the height of my career, I had the life I wanted, the life I’d always envisioned. I’d found my tempo, my rhythm. Then I received a phone call that left me off key.

You see, my favorite songs had a way of playing simultaneously. I was in love with one man’s beats and another’s lyrics. But when it came to the soundtrack of a life, how could anyone choose a favorite song? So, to erase any doubt, I ditched my first-class ticket and decided to take a drive, fixed on the rearview.

Two days.

One playlist.

And the long road home to the man who was waiting for me.

This review is going to be short, because I have no words for how much I LOVED this book.

I think I’m falling in love with the king of nothing.

Where do I start this review? How do I start this review? I am in shock at how many emotions this book put me through. This book is raw, real, full of emotions, and so relatable. This book ripped my heart, threw it on the floor, stomped on it, picked it back up, dusted it off and nicely put it back where it belongs. I just don’t know what to say. I am truly speechless. This book is an absolute must read!

“I had so many words circling through my head, but I couldn’t do anything but stare at him. He slowly trailed his fingers over my lips, down my neck, and over the curve of my breasts. And while his fingers explored, his eyes stayed on mine, filling the silence, and in them I saw the piece of me that he took.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I received an eARC of Promise Me Forever, a collection from Top Shelf Romance in exchange for an honest review. This book was included in that collection.
