Blurb:

Heโ€™s a criminalโ€”an abomination.

Weโ€™re wrong in every way.

If only I couldโ€™ve convinced my heart.

His lips whispered promises of all the stars in the sky.

I dreamt of a love that would last forever.

We were gorgeously young and desperate for one another.

But weโ€™re star-crossed.

Fate had decided our course.

Leaving us to cling to each other as we crumbled to ash.

His need became possession.

My innocence turned jaded.

Our families declared war.

All that remained was hate.

But Calder was raised by wolves. The rules didnโ€™t apply.

I was his until he said otherwise–for better or for worse.

Our love storyโ€™s bathed in crimson and drenched in bullets.

Because sometimes, Romeo comes with tattoos, guns, and a taste for blood.

I received an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and options are my own.

This book really grabbed me by my heartstrings and left me with all the feels. I don’t know if Iโ€™ll survive.I DO NOT usually enjoy insta-love stories. For a novella? Sure. But for a full length novel? I think not. But boy do I feel like a big fat liar. Trilina Pucci really did such a great job with this book. She left me an absolute mess and a little mad at her but that’s okay. Iโ€™ll be okayโ€ฆ.. Maybe. Calder Wolfe and Sutton Prescott really did a number on me. These two are additive and so passionate for one another. Every single time I read a new book by Trilina Pucci Iโ€™m amazed. Amazed how somehow her writing gets better and better with each story. The emotion that’s poured into this book is astronomical. I loved everything about this book. The Romeo and Juliet vibes almost killed me, as it’s one of my all time favorites. The passion, emotion, obsession, characters, words, everything made this book so epic. I cannot wait for book two. I need it, like yesterday.

This book is a MUST read and on my list for favorite books read this year!

About the Author:

Trilina is a former professional dancer (you may have even seen her on the MTV Music Awards) and a USA Today Bestselling author who loves cupcakes and bourbon.

When she isnโ€™t writing steamy love stories, she can be found devouring Netflix with her husband, Anthony, and their three kiddos. Pucciโ€™s journey into writing started impulsively. She wanted to check off a box on her bucket list, but what began as wish-fulfillment has become incredibly fulfilling. Now she canโ€™t see her life without her characters, her readers, and this community.

Sheโ€™s known for being a trope defier, writing outside of the box and creating fictional worlds her readers never want to leave.
