Hello all! Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. My name is Sara and I live in the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York. Where one can experience each season to its fullest potential in color and smell. As an office manager by day and avid book reader at night, I have been craving to creative something of my own. Creating has always been a passion of mine. Whether it be a craft, baking or cooking something new or even a cheerleading routine. That is why I am here, to create something I truly enjoy doing. Ever since I could remember I have been a lover of books and anything to do with books. Going into a bookstore or the library has been and probably always will be one of my favorite activities. It reminds me of home and leaves me feeling with nothing but joy after I leave.
For the longest time I always remembered struggling with reading and spelling. I have always hated that part about myself and I have never really talked about it with anyone. I despised reading out loud in class and hated having to write things that were being graded. I always knew it wasn’t going to be any good. As a young child, I was always embarrassed about being even the tiniest bit critical of my own handiwork. I remember always being a grade level behind in English throughout elementary and early middle school. Though English has always been one of my favorite subjects, I always struggled with it. That was until one summer. I was in middle school and I had absolutely nothing to do, I was bored and didn’t know what to do with all my free time. So my grandmother suggested to me that I read one of the many books I had in my room. So I did. And since then I haven’t stopped reading. This helped me with my confidence while reading out loud and spelling. I am a much more confident reader and speller than I ever was. That was all because I picked up a book and read. The more I read the better I got at both, so I haven’t stopped.
I don’t know where this blog is going to go or if I am going to blog about other things. As of now, I will talk about and review books. I will continue to dive into the millions of stories that others have created… And hey, maybe one day I’ll be sharing my own book with you. But for now I will take things one day at a time and read.
